Here is the Finance Gourmet Website, the companion to the Finance Gourmet Blog. While the blog handles current topics, the website has in depth information on all aspects of financial advice and financial planning.
After some furious typing, I feel comfortable releasing the [tag]Finance Gourmet[/tag] into the wild. Already there is some great content. The [tag]Financial Advisors[/tag] Primer Part 1 and Part 2 is up. Part 3 is coming soon. Don’t miss this eye opening look at the very misunderstood world of financial planners and financial advisors.
The Finance Gourmet site takes on the slightly unconventional structure of being both a top quality frequently updated blog AND an information packed website with lots of easy to find detailed information. I’ll post here in the blog updates regarding the website, quick snippets of news, comments, and other information regarding current events. So, the blog will be your primary resource to keep up with what is going on now. The website will be your primary resource for detailed knowledge on specific topics.
Take a look at the Coming Soon page to see what I have on deck for the immediate future. If you would like to see something sooner, feel free to email me, or to post a comment here regarding what you’d like to see first, of if you think something is missing from the list. I’ll bump it to the top.
Welcome to the Finance Gourmet
About Finance Gourmet
The [tag]Finance Gourmet[/tag] is a real life [tag]financial planner[/tag] with real life clients. Why is this such a big deal? Because virtually no one else you are reading can say that. Those articles in the newspaper? Professional journalists. Those other websites? Professional writers and web designers. Those books? Professional speakers mostly, with some supposedly successful (or formerly successful) investors thrown in, and maybe a former financial advisor or two. Of course, its been years since they had any real clients.
With so many good domain names already taken it can be a bit of a challenge to find a good reasonable name for your home on the web. Hopefully, we’ve done ok. Our main concern will be how many people know how to spell “gourmet” :). Although we won’t be taking the food theme to an extreme, the new website name fits pretty well. The Finance Gourmet will be unlike the hundreds or thousands of other financial websites out there. How? Well, in lots of ways, but the most important one will be our depth. You see, the world has become obsessed with the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) concept. That, plus the limited space available in many printed publications has led to a world where despite there being literally millions of financial articles are available virtually none of them contain enough information for you to read them, and then take real meaningful action.
We will be different.
The Gourmet isn’t content to just know the basics. The recipe on the back of a bag of Nestle Chocolate Chips may indeed produce chocolate chip cookies, but there is so much more. How would you make them softer, chewier, fluffier? Can you just add more chips for additional chocolate flavor, or does that through off the balance of the cookie? Does it matter if you use butter or margarine? Unsalted butter versus salted butter? Not to mention the fact that there must be hundreds of other cookies out there why stop at just chocolate chip?
Likewise, the [tag]Finance Gourmet[/tag] will not be satisfied to give you basic overview information using a “one size fits all” rule of thumb that will leave you wondering if you are making the right choice. Instead, the articles here will be complete full information that will allow you to make informed decisions, not just follow someone else’s advice.
The articles will be on the main site at www.financegourmet.com but this blog will serve as a regular update regarding the world of [tag]personal finance[/tag], [tag]investing[/tag], and [tag]money[/tag] in general. Don’t forget to bookmark us: www.financegourmet.com/blog/ and www.finanacegourmet.com.
Welcome. You are going to love it here.
